Kat Calvosa: Listen

My Very Own Snowman

(music & lyrics by Kat Calvosa)
Way down south in hot Alabam'
They've got sun and fun and the play in the sand
But up here in New York we've got none of that sun
Just snow on the ground and a white world of fun
So…

Everybody get your hats and your gloves
We're headed out to make a snowman in love
We'll give him two black eyes and a long carrot nose
And make him jolly from his head to his toes
You take….

Three snowballs and you roll them up big
You stack them up like a big tall rig
Grab two twigs for arms like so
Now he can do the do-si-do
Grab a hat and a long striped scarf
How about some jellybeans for a mouth
Mmm that carrot sure looks nice
Right beneath his black coal eyes
Take a step back and admire your art
Just make sure he's got a heart

And you've made a snowman
A jolly snowman
A handsome snowman
Your very own snowman
All you did was take…

Three snowballs and you rolled them up big
You stacked them up like a big tall rig
Grabbed two twigs for arms like so
Now he could do the do-si-do
Grabbed a hat and a long striped scarf
And some jellybeans for a mouth
Mmm that carrot sure looked nice
Right beneath his black coal eyes
Took a step back and admired your art
And made sure he got a heart

And you'd made a snowman
A jolly snowman
A handsome snowman
Your very own snowman!
